Cake is only good when it's moist. Really moist. So I have searched the internet and my cookbooks for the best cake recipes. So far I've made carrot cake, banana cake (thanks Melissa!) and chocolate cake. They have all been DELICIOUS!!! The next on my list is this red velvet cake. Can't wait.
After the red velvet cake I'm out of ideas. I need recipes that can stay outside of the fridge since the whole point of me making cake is so I can show it off on my counter. So do any of you have great cake recipes? Me, my family and my muffin top would sure appreciate it.

Try German Chocolate cake! I don't have a great recipe but it's delish!
im surprised you used the word moist!......
Yes, I do need to make German Chocolate cake! I need to email Dani and get her recipe.
I know Cassie! But there isn't any other word that better describes a really good piece of cake! :) I'm stuck using that awful word.
Is Blake getting a muffin top now? Baking is some dangerous business in our house. No self control here.
You have to try Hummingbird Cake. It is awesome!
It's me with the muffin top, Jacki. :) Blake runs everyday to keep his girlish figure. Just looked up Hummingbird Cake and it looks very yummy. I'll add it to my list. Thanks!
Next time I see you, remind me to pull out that awesome cookbook I was telling you about. It has LOTS of delicious cake recipes. And it looks like I should be visiting much more often to keep up my muffin top on all these delectable desserts!
Mmm . . . Hummingbird cake is indeed delicious! Spice cake is good, too, and I have a new chocolate cake recipe that I absolutely love. It's the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my life!
I'll send you the recipes soon . . . Maybe we can bake some cakes together when I'm in Utah next weekend!
I want to be a guest in your home again soon to sample the delicious cakes! Will keep an eye out for good cake recipes. I also was surprised to hear you use the word "moist"! :) But you're right, no good substitute...kind of like "ya'll".
