When Sadie asked for a
See's mint truffle at 7 o'clock this morning I told her her no. She asked why and I said it was too early. She then asked why it was too early and I didn't have an answer for her. Seriously why do people frown upon eating things like candy, pizza and soda in the morning? Does a brownie know to add 100 extra calories just because it's before 10 am?

I say eat treats in the morning, then you have all day to burn off the calories instead of letting them lay there with you at night.
I knew I felt an instant kinship with Sadie. Here's proof that she and I are kindred spirits: http://sawasnow.blogspot.com/2007/08/breakfast-of-champions.html!

Yes...I also had a chocolate for breakfast!!
Right there with you. Don't know where that rule came from but chocolate and candy gets eaten all day around here.
LOL! So true!
Some people don't subscribe to that rule. I think you S(k)NOW who they are...
A little chocolate gets me going in the morning...nothing wrong with that!
I just watched Practical magic and they eat chocolate for breakfast- I say go for it! Specially if its hot chocolate and truffles!
those look so good!
Ashlynn always asks for things like that in the morning and I tell her no and then I eat it.
I'm all about sweets in the morning, when I moved away from home I kept sour patch kids in the cabinet and had a few each morning, just because I could. But allow me to play devil's advocate...
Maybe the idea is that sweets should be eaten in proportion to other healthy foods. And up to a certain point, you haven't had enough healthy food to balance the ratios. So you can only ensure you'll eat enough of the healthy stuff if you eat it first.
Having said that, I want to go finda cookie.
