I did it!

After over three months of training it's all over. On Saturday morning I ran my first 1/2 marathon. I loved it! The original plan was for Blake to run it with me but due to his back injury he wasn't able to. Despite his major setback, Blake was my biggest fan. He cheered me on from the couch every morning while I would take the girls on my training runs. He never complained even though I know he was (and still is) very disappointed. He has been such a good sport and I want to thank him for that. Thanks for being the best cheerleader, Blake! You can beat me next year!

Wow, congratulations!!! I really want to run a 1/2 marathon too. You'll have to let me know how you trained for it. I'm just wishing the hot weather to be over so I can actually get outside and not faint! GOOD JOB, LINDSEY!!

I'm very impressed - especially because you run in the aforementioned hot Utah weather. Good job! You might inspire me to get out and about.

Tricia- If you google Hal Higdon you will find a great running website. I followed his training schedule for running a 1/2 marathon (beginner) and it worked so well! I was very prepared for the actual race! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

Congrats! Are you going to run another one? Also, anyone who takes their kids with them when they go running is my hero. Strollers are heavier than they appear especially when pushed. :)
