Sadie is obedient

After a long day of running errands, the girls and I are beat. We got home about 20 minutes ago and I had to get on Sadie for patting Madison a little too hard. Of course Sadie made it clear that she wasn't going to listen to me by smacking Maddie again. I then asked Sadie if she wanted a "time out" to which she answered, "Yes."

I had to follow through with her answer so I told her to go to her room and shut the door. To my shock (and amusement) Sadie walked back to her room, shut the door and started to cry.

I wish she would listen to me that well all of the time. Like when I ask her to stay by the shopping cart, stay out of my cupboards or eat her veggies.

Lately I have been wondering where kids get the idea that they can have a mind of their own. Aren't they supposed to do what I say until they are 18 or even older? :)

That is so funny! If only it were that easy every time. I hate having to do "time-outs" but they really do work.

Isn't that too funny when they say yes, I want a spanking or yes, I'll do time out. You look at them like, ok what's wrong with you?
