Sadie says bad words

It's amazing to me how fast Sadie has learned to talk. It seems like every day she is rambling off new words. Most of the time it's really cute and I'm very proud of her but she has recently added a new word to her vocabulary that's not so cute.

Sadie hates bugs and flies. She is very scared of them. Every time she sees one, she freaks out. By freaking out, I mean she gets close to us so that we can protect her and then she yells out her word for insects. She has combined the words fly and bug to make a rather inappropriate sounding word. I'm sure if you use your imagination just a little, you will be able to think of the 4-letter swear word (that starts with a "F") that I am referring to.

We went out for hamburgers last night and were attacked by a bunch of flies. Of course, Sadie yelled out (multiple times) her innocent profanity. It's hard not to laugh but I'm a little concerned of what the people around us were thinking.

This is definitely not something we should let go on for much longer. The last thing I want is a 2-year old with a potty mouth!

It's a good thing I am not there right now!! I would have a very hard time not laughing and making things worse for little two year old potty mouth!Remember Laci's lovely words when we went to Dairy Queen and ordered blizzards?!I think she was around 3! Dad and I still get a good laugh when we think about it! Oh how our children bring us joy and fun!

I had to just laugh at this one! I think everyone knows a toddler potty mouth. James used to replace all his "p" sounds with "f" sounds. The word "pumpkin" became very scary..."funkin"...only he usually dropped the "n" sound too!

That reminds me of my boss's 2-year-old son who lately is in the habit of calling his dad by first name, Mitch. Unfortunately, his son's m's sounded like b's! When at a restaurant Mitch got up for something and his son yelled "Where you going Mitch!?"

That makes me laugh, too. It also made me think of the DQ Reese's Pieces experience. Sure miss ya'll. See you soon!

My favorite, is forcing her to say "Frog" while she's at my house. I can't get enough of it and it cracks me up. Unfortunately, I knew it wouldn't be long until something happened in public that could be quite embarrassing. Oh well, you're only a kid once, right!?

I think all toddlers have a potty mouth and some point. I remember when my Blake was first learning how to talk and his favorite sound to make sounded like the "s" word. The first time he used it we were sitting in Sacrament meeting in church. I wanted to die!
