Sadie and I met some friends at Chuck E. Cheese's today. We got there at 11:00 am but due to "plumbing problems" it didn't open until 12:00. Since we had an hour to kill, we walked over to Robert's and I purchased the candle of the month.
After waiting for about 20 minutes in the heat, the doors were opened and the crowd of excited kids raced inside. Sadie loved every minute. I didn't buy any tokens because all the rides were free and that's all she cares about anyway. Oh, and I can't forget about the high tech singing animals. Sadie danced and danced as they played the same song over and over again. The thing I like about Chuck E. Cheese's is that I don't have to worry too much about Sadie. She can run around free of me by her side because there isn't really anything she can do to get into too much trouble. Well, except for the time I caught her trying to steal someone else's tokens off their table.
The thing I'm not too crazy about though is their food. That pizza is worse than what came from my high school cafeteria! I'm sure it's been frozen and the sauce leaves a nasty after taste. Not even Sadie would eat it. Oh, and it isn't that cheap either! But, I will go back. And I'll probably buy the pizza again. Why you ask? Because Sadie has such a good time and it's just convenient to buy the food that they sell there. Heck! I'm even thinking about having Sadie's 2nd birthday party there! So I guess my conclusion here is that Chuck E. Cheese's has no reason to improve their food because people keep coming back. There's no motivation in that!
