Not so tricky after all

Is it just me or are stores at the mall getting so pushy? It seems like you can't even walk into a store without some "new" product being shoved in your face?

On a recent trip to the mall, I was making a purchase at Bath and Body Works. While the girl was ringing me up, she asked for my email address. Without even thinking, I gave her a bogus address and laughed (in my head, of course) because there was no way I was going to give her my real information. I sure showed her!

As I was grabbing my purchase, the clerk told me that because I had given her my email address, I would be receiving a coupon in a few days for a free lip gloss. The whole way to the car, I was so excited. I have always wanted to try out their lip gloss but could never bring myself to pay $7.5o for a tube. Especially since I knew Sadie would eventually get her hands on it and pretty much drink it.

It took me until I was getting Sadie in her car seat to realize that I would not be getting a free lip gloss. Shoot.

That is funny Lindsey. I always give them fake information.

You know, a part of me feels that forking over the $7.50 is better than getting tons of junk emails. Don't feel too bad. I still think you made the right decision.
