I really do have sweet dreams

It's no secret that I am a lover of food. As the saying goes, "I live to eat, not eat to live." In fact, I love food so much that sometimes in the middle of the night, I wake up and have a craving for something sweet. When I had these midnight urges during high school, I would raid my Mom's snack drawer grabbing whatever looked tasty. It wasn't uncommon for me to grab a few Oreo's and a a piece of leftover dessert before heading back to bed to eat my snack in the dark. This strange habit continues to this day. Although keeping desserts overnight in my house is pretty much impossible, I still find a way to satisfy my urges.

Another odd sleep/food combination for me is whenever I take a nap, I pretty much always wake up with a craving. Last Saturday I took a nap and woke up needing eclairs. Sure enough, the first thing I did after crawling out of bed was to make eclairs. Today while I was playing with Sadie in her room I feel asleep and woke up with a craving for chocolate crinkles. Guess what Sadie and I made this afternoon? Yep! You guessed it! Chocolate crinkles!

I'm not sure why I am the way I am. Does anyone else have their taste buds act up when they go to sleep?

Every time I commit to start eating healthier or to start exercising more regularly, I have dreams about going to all-you-can-eat buffets. I usually dream in great detail about the dessert table! Pathetic, isn't it?!?

I seem to get the munchies right before going to bed. Sometimes, I just roam around the kitchen grabbing whatever sounds good at the time. Nutritionists say bedtime is the worst time to eat, since you will not be burning many calories during the night. But sometimes everything sounds so good when you're tired!
